We believe there is a fine balance between 'out of the box' product functionality and ease of use while retaining the ability to integrate with other systems that customers may already have. Our products are modular - yes they work great together, but also they can used apart, and we can work with you to meet your exact requirements, whatever they might be - see our services section for more details.
The products comprise the 'Learning Platform' (lookred® Spaces), the 'School Intelligence' suite (lookred® Insights), and the 'Student Relationship Management' system (lookred® Vault).
The sections below, and the short video introduction to the right provide an overview of these different components.
lookred® Insights provides analytics and
trends, geospatial mapping with compelling visualisations of the data.
Education systems are not short of data but they are
short of information. The striking benefit in the lookred®
solution is being able to find individual slices of
information scattered across a number of systems, bring them into one view
and then interact with it in a meaningful way to make better decisions

At a local authority, state, or national level, leaders can access aggregated information from multiple source systems to understand holistic issues and assist in making more informed decisions on policy. A central data warehouse caters for multi-agency use of the information and insights, and the platform supports easy sharing of intelligence while retaining a secure and authorititive 'single view of the truth'.
lookred® Insights AnalyticsInsights flexible deployment options can cater for extremely granular identity and access management controls, meaning sensitive data is kept secure, while allowing appropriate access to those that need it. Best practice can be analised and shared across whole communities.
The school leader and supporting senior leadership teams are empowered by free and timely access to pertinant information on school performance, levels of intervention success, and alerts on student behaviour and achievement. Through simple to use tools and familiar interfaces questioning the information is straightforward, to understand for example why attendance has dipped, what contributed to the rise in Maths attainment, or which staff members are displaying good practice, and why.
lookred® Insights ReportsStudents and staff are presented with personalised dashboards of their own school history and information. Staff can see information for their tutor groups or classes, see where pupils are tracking well to targets or where behavioural issues may need to be addressed. Students can see their own progress and information on where they are expected to be, and when. Both groups can be incentivised or alerted to changes that may be necessary by understanding how their profile and activity fits within class norms, or within other peer groups in a department or year.
Other groups such as Parents and Governors, can be provided with appropriate access to see relevant information of thier own children in school, or summarised views for governors to understand performance and trends without specific instance information. Through reaching out to the parent community the student may become better supported at home and the parent has the opportunity to form a closer connection with the school, feeling more involved with their childs activity and progress.
lookred® Insights is built on scalable, secure and proven enterprise technology and offers unparralled insights into multiple aspects of lifelong teaching and learning.

lookred® Spaces sits at the heart of the learning
platform and allows personalised anywhere, anytime access to all aspects
of teaching and learning. Spaces is a platform that
allows seamless integration with all educational services from library
management to careers service information. Social
enterprise features engage the user through blogs, wiki’s, tags and notes,
and powerful search capabilities across content and people
Personalising learning and targeting content

A young persons experience and use of information technology inside a school is often widely different to their experience and use of information technology in the home, the street or even the shopping mall.
Web 2.0, 3.0 and the advent of social media has dramatically changed the way we interact online, communicate and collaborate, and a new breed of Digital Natives are moving up through education systems across the world.
lookred® Spaces begins to address these changing practices and behaviours by providing a platform for education that is more in line with the consumer experience, and draws on inspiration from 'knowing as much about our learners as Tesco/Wal-mart/Amazon do about thier customers'. By applying logic traditionally constrained to marketing and advertising domains we can begin to not only better understand individual learners needs and preferences but to specifically target appropriate resources, content and support.
lookred® Spaces AssignmentsSocial networks and knowledge management are also brought into play in a new way. With lookred® Spaces, practitioners can specify their areas of expertise and make this known across the community, declaring themselves available as an 'expert resource'. Knowledge assets can either be declared by an individual themselves, or the system can automatically build a profile of where that knowldege may reside, by interpretting email or instant message subjects and content.
The Power of Search
Search also becomes socially aware, and can return results that are contextually more relevant to the user. For example, resources that have a link to an individuals peer group or immediate teachers are weighted highest moving out through the social network to those that are unknown. It also becomes possible to understand what others are searching for, and tag and rate educational content to enrich the environment for the whole community. It is not hard to see how we can use this information, the resources that an individual has used for a particular course, for example, matched against that individuals attainment to provide valuable insights into which resources may be relevant and valued.
lookred® Spaces delivers core learning platform features such as document management, anywhere anytime access, even from mobile devices. Assessment for learning needs are catered for and teachers have the ability to set and recieve assignments to student groups using SCORM complaint course content. Expected functionality such as class sites, blogs, wikis, discussion forums, surveys and questionairres are all naturally included, but the power of the platform extends well beyond traditional expectations.

The lookred® Vault can provide
intelligent and early interventions through smart reviews of data.
It is capable of providing full standalone Student Relationship
Management (SRM) functionality or it can integrate with read/write
What is Student Relationship Management?

Student relationship management software leverages all developments made in the area of 'Customer Relationship Management (CRM)' in other industries. Fundametally it places the student at the center of all the supporting business processes, and focusses on enhancing the experience of the student with the school. Our SRM software is multi-tenanted, meaning that groups of schools or all schools within a local authority or state can belong to the same 'organisation' - making data seemlessly available across all, with appropriate access controls. In this way you can support the 14-19 agenda in the UK for example by handling student registration across different institutions.
lookred® Vault becomes the 'single view of the thruth' for a young persons history of education and related information. Drawing on information from a school's MIS, it enables all email communication about a young person to be tracked against their permanent record, meaning that important information is no longer overlooked or 'fall between the gaps' in systems and processes. Data can be obtained from different source systems, and delivered to the practitioner through familiar interfaces such as Microsoft Outlook, reducing the need to visit different client applications to find the information that is required.
lookred® Vault - Siverlight Registrationlookred® Vault is extensible, meaning that suitable third party products may be intergrated with the platform, and it is also mobile enabled - allowing anywhere anytime access across a broad range of devices.
lookred® Vault for Intervention Management
Every child matters. No child left behind. lookred® Vault provides key functionality to identify and target individuals or groups of young people that may be at risk. Intervention programmes can be created and put in place to help support the young persons needs and allow the tracking of the programme, its impact, success, and financial costs, over time.
Valuble best practice can be determined, what programmes work well within varying demographics, and educational and welfare outcomes can be measured to indicate where efforts may be placed in the future to be most effective and financially prudent.
lookred® Vault can support the practitioner by identifying similar profiles across a large population - calling out those young people who may be displaying similar characteristics to those in intervention programmes, but where no action has currently been taken. Potential risks, be they to wellbeing, academic achievement, or vocational success are visable, traceable and actionable.
